Overview
I, along with two other students, was tasked with creating a brand and applications of the brand to promote the new space within the Typography department at University of Reading which houses the special finish equipment: Cricut Maker, toner foiler, and laser cutter. To have the opportunity to design not only outputs, but the exhibition space they sit in was a valuable opportunity for me.
This project was part of the 'Real Jobs' scheme, meaning we got the chance to work for a client which gave us valuable experience. In addition to the printed outputs seen below, I created instructions that can be viewed online in order to guide students through the processes of using these machines. This gave me the important skills of copy editing and adjusting the text to fit a specific audience, creating annotated visuals to aid the user's process, all whilst keeping to the new brand's identity.
