About Buddy
Buddy is a web app that allows you to keep track of all aspects of your dog’s health under one roof. This website is an organised way in monitoring exercise, diet, vaccinations, treatments and vet visits so nothing is ever missed. It will massively benefit your dog as not only does it keep them fit and healthy, but if there are any complications, you can provide the vet with a detailed medical history as well as a food and exercise record which will help reach the root of the problem.
Research
In order to create a successful web app, I carried out thorough research. This included competitor analysis, user interviews, user personas, user journeys, page flows, sitemaps, and multiple rounds of usability testing throughout the design process. I created low-fidelity sketches as first, which developed into mid-fi and then eventually high-fi. The process of constantly testing these different levels of development led to the creation of a coherent, user-centred web app, highlighting the importance of it to me.

Features
Through user research, user needs were identified and features were created in order to aid these. The main feature allows users to track their dog’s food intake. Buddy generates a meal plan personalised to each dog which allows dog parents to feel at ease knowing their little ones are happy and healthy.
The second feature tracks dogs’ exercise. It allows users to connect with friends and help their dogs make friends, scroll through others’ walks, save them, and follow the exact route using the built-in map. Both features include an article section where users can learn more about what is good for their dog’s health.
